Lake Tekapo Sunrise
a sunrise that caught me by surprise
The waters of Lake Tekapo feed from the glaciers of Mt Cook. The lake is at the base of Mt John, which has a number of observatories at its summit. Sitting on the edge of the lake, the township is within a designated dark sky reserve.
