I usually get closer to Flinder's Peak to capture the rugged silhouette in detail. On this day I decided to get a wider perspective and had chosen a place where the sun would set directly behind the peak. For most of the time I was set up and waiting, the scene was uninspiring. A few cars drove past, and as it got darker, you could see them wondering why I was bothering to stand out in the cold wind. As the sun disappeared over the horizon the light reflected off the higher clouds to produce this wonderful scene. Well worth the wait.
