Early morning after a turtle lays it’s eggs
Theses are the tracks of a turtle that had made it's way up the beach during the 2 AM low tide. As the pre-dawn light increased I saw these tracks leading to a rocky cove. The image was captured before the incoming tide washed them away. Half an hour later they were gone.
Sadly the eggs also washed away during the high tide. People who had camped in the parking bay close to the beach had lit up the area with their lights and disturbed the turtles. This turtle had crawled up in the shadow of the rocks, but was unable to get above the high tide mark.
The image really was captured on the date listed!
